Public Art Reaction
Ming Fay
" Whitehall Crossing"'
Granite
2005
This work of art takes place in the waiting lobby of the Manhattan side of the Staten Island Ferry terminal. The artist could communicate with a viewer that maybe never been on the ferry. It doesn't really interact with a surrounding because it's a portrait. I find this beneficial because it can be helpful to a tourist. my perception of this piece will not change because it would look the same anywhere there's no changing a portrait.
